Green power.
Green heat.
One stack.
For hotels and hospitality portfolios.
One provider for green power, green heat and the data that proves both — from the chiller plant to guest-room showers to the laundry.
Your chillers throw away
your hot water.
A hotel runs a small utility plant 365 days a year: chillers for comfort, hot water for rooms, kitchens and laundry, pool heating, and DG sets for outages. Hot water and laundry usually burn LPG, PNG or diesel, while the chillers next to them reject heat through cooling towers. Corporate travel buyers, owners and lenders increasingly ask for carbon per room night.
Power, heat and ESG reporting are bought from different vendors on different clocks. Solar is sized without the heat load; boilers are replaced without a plan for cheaper power; ESG data is typed in once a year. Each fix leaves money and carbon on the table.
jouleWise runs the whole decarbonisation stack: green power — intrastate and ISTS solar and wind, rooftop solar, BESS and green-market purchase, each source orchestrated to fulfil the property's demand at least cost; ABT metering and data loggers on every source and load; green heat from industrial heat pumps up to 120 °C; ergOS to meter and orchestrate both every 15 minutes; esgOS to turn the same data into audit-ready disclosure.
Cheaper green power lowers the cost of every unit of heat a heat pump makes. Thermal storage lets that heat be made in the cheapest solar blocks. ergOS proves it; esgOS reports it. Savings from one layer fund the next.
Up to 25% lower power cost on DISCOM tariff and up to 65% renewable share (reported, year 1 of ergOS). Heat-recovery heat pumps then make guest hot water from chiller heat — cooling and hot water from one kWh — and batteries cut DG hours.
Four models, mix and match: Advisory, SaaS (ergOS + esgOS), Heat Advisory, and Heat as a Service, where you pay per unit of heat and invest nothing upfront.
A four-week decarbonisation baseline on one property: power bills, DG and fuel logs, and portable heat metering on hot water, laundry and the pool — ending in one business case for the property and a template for the portfolio.
Reported client impact, year 1 of ergOS; C&I client outcomes. Results vary with state, tariff structure and load profile. Hotels-specific value is quantified in the baseline.
Your guests' employers
count the room night.
For a hotel or hospitality group, energy and carbon now show up in corporate RFPs, certifications and owner reporting. Six pressures point at the same metered data.
Corporate travel buyers
Corporate travel programmes increasingly ask for carbon and energy per occupied room night before they sign rate agreements.
Certifications and platforms
Green building ratings and sustainability badges on booking platforms all rest on metered energy and water data.
Energy cost
Hotels usually pay commercial tariffs, among the highest per unit — and run chillers, hot water and laundry every day of the year.
LPG, diesel and DG
Hot water, laundry and pools run on LPG, PNG or diesel, and DG sets cover outages. Heat pumps and batteries replace most of that fuel.
Owners and lenders
Owners, investors and lenders want asset-level energy and carbon data; green finance prices it in. Listed groups also report BRSR Core-format data.
Guest expectation
Guests notice towel cards; they notice a hotel that runs on green power more. The claim needs a meter behind it.
One stack.
Every layer feeds the next.
Most properties buy decarbonisation in pieces. We built it as a loop: low-cost green power feeds heat pumps, storage moves heat into the cheapest blocks, ergOS runs it, esgOS proves it.
Green power
Intrastate and ISTS solar and wind, rooftop solar, BESS and green-market purchase — each source orchestrated to fulfil the property's demand at least cost.
Heat pumps
Every kWh in becomes three to four kWh of useful heat. The boiler stops burning fuel for loads up to 120 °C.
Thermal storage
Heat is made when power is cheapest and greenest, and used when the process needs it.
ergOS
Meters power, steam, fuel and water every 15 minutes; forecasts, schedules and trades; runs heat pumps against price.
esgOS
Converts the same metered data to Scope 1, 2 and 3, BRSR Core-format, CBAM, CDP and customer disclosures.
Every room night
has a lever.
Guests arrive, rooms need hot water, kitchens cook, laundry runs, the pool stays warm and chillers keep it all cool. jouleWise acts at eleven points across the property — and repeats the plan across the portfolio.
Green sourcing
Intrastate and ISTS solar and wind through green open access — eligible from 100 kW under the 2022 rules, subject to state regulations.
PowerConnectivity and metering
Open access approvals, connection agreement and ABT metering at the property incomer.
PowerRooftop solar
Podium and service roofs carry behind-the-meter solar, sized from measured load.
PowerBattery storage
LFP storage replaces most DG hours and shaves the evening peak.
PowerHeat pumps for guest hot water
Rooms, kitchens and spa hot water from heat pumps and a legionella-safe store.
HeatLaundry
Washers and heat-pump dryers on the hot-water circuit; ironers stay on steam or gas.
HeatPool and spa
Pool held at temperature by heat pumps instead of LPG or diesel heaters.
HeatChiller heat recovery
Chiller condenser heat becomes guest hot water — cooling and hot water from one kWh.
HeatergOS control
15-minute metering of power, hot water, chilled water, fuel and water; forecasting and dispatch.

Low-cost
green power.
Hotels carry a steady load with an evening peak — chillers, lifts, kitchens and lighting. Green open access is available from 100 kW under the Green Energy Open Access Rules, 2022, subject to state regulations, and properties in one state can be planned together. Batteries take over DG hours.
Plan
Meter-data due diligence: bills, load survey, rooftop and captive parameters. Solar, wind, hybrid, BESS and exchange power optimised together, capex or opex, with each state's ToD, banking and open access charges in the landed-cost model.
Implement
RfP over a 25-year horizon, developer evaluation, reverse auction, PPA and shareholder agreements (26% SPV equity for captive status), open access approvals and connection agreement.
Meter and log
ABT meters at injection and drawal points — main and check meters on CTs and PTs of the required accuracy class — plus data loggers on every incomer, heat pump, steam, fuel and water line. Installed, tested, sealed and linked to the SLDC and to ergOS.
Orchestrate
ergOS forecasts 96 blocks, schedules with the SLDC, trades DAM, GDAM, RTM and GTAM, manages banking and battery health — and now dispatches heat pumps and thermal storage against price.
What is a
heat pump?
A heat pump is a refrigerator run the other way round. It does not make heat by burning anything — it moves heat that already exists, from a cooler place to a hotter one, and uses electricity only to do the lifting.
Swipe to see the whole cycleWhat goes in, what comes out
COP (coefficient of performance) = useful heat ÷ electricity. A boiler can never exceed 1; a heat pump typically delivers 2 to 5.
Temperature lift sets the COP · indicative
Lift = delivery temperature minus source temperature. Recovering warm waste heat first and delivering no hotter than the process needs keeps the COP high.
For loads up to 120 °C, yes — as the primary heat source. The boiler usually stays on standby and for any loads above that range.
Each kWh of power returns three to four kWh of heat, so heat costs roughly a third of the power price. On green open access, the carbon falls close to zero as well.
Spare electrical capacity, space near the heat users and a steady heat demand. A hot-water store smooths peaks and lets the unit run in the cheapest blocks.
It is the same refrigeration cycle as the chillers already on your site, run for heat. Industrial units are in service worldwide in food, chemicals, pharma and textiles.
The boiler,
reinvented.
Almost all hotel heat is low-temperature: showers, dishwashing, laundry and the pool sit between 26 and 82 °C. Heat pumps are built for this — and the chillers already on site supply the heat.
Heat sources we reuse
Chiller condensers, kitchen and laundry exhaust, and warm grey water — a hotel rejects nearly as much heat as it buys.
Heating and cooling at once
Hotels cool all year while making hot water all day. A heat pump on the chiller circuit delivers both, so the cooling you already pay for produces your hot water.
Sized from metered heat
Portable heat meters log flow and temperature on candidate processes for two to four weeks before anything is sized.
Cheaper power
makes cheaper heat.
What one kWh of useful process heat costs, and what it emits, depending on where the heat comes from. The heat pump cuts cost on any power; green power is what cuts the carbon.
Illustrative only, not an offer. Assumptions: PNG 10.4 kWh/SCM, 1.95 kg CO₂/SCM; HSD 10.0 kWh/L, 2.68 kg CO₂/L; grid 0.716 kg CO₂/kWh (CEA baseline order of magnitude); green power treated as zero-emission on a market basis with green attributes retired. Heat pump COP 3.5 reflects hot water near 60 °C for guest rooms, drawn from the chiller condenser loop; COP falls as delivery temperature rises. Tariffs, fuel prices and COP vary by site and are replaced with metered values in the baseline. LPG: ₹95/kg, 12.8 kWh/kg, 2.98 kg CO₂/kg. Hotels on commercial tariffs may pay more than ₹8.5/kWh from the DISCOM, which strengthens the case for green open access.
