## Questions and answers

**What does jouleWise do?**  
It designs, finances, builds and operates the electricity and heat systems that cut an industrial plant's energy cost and emissions: cheaper, greener electricity, and process heat without burning fuel.

**Do I have to take both electricity and heat?**  
No. Each lever works on its own and pays for itself. Together, cheap green electricity makes heat-pump heat both cheaper and near-zero carbon.

**Do we need to invest?**  
Not necessarily. jouleWise can fund it: under ESCO it invests and is paid from measured savings; under Heat-as-a-Service or Electricity-as-a-Service you pay per unit. Capex is available if you prefer to own the assets.

**Who is accountable for the result?**  
jouleWise, under one contract from design to daily operation, with no hand-offs between consultant, contractor, financier and operator. It stands behind the savings.

**How does it start?**  
Share twelve months of electricity and fuel bills for one plant. A four-week energy assessment — data, site visit, heat metering, savings and carbon baseline — is followed by a proposal for electricity, heat or both, then implementation from about three months.
