Privacy/ what this site does
This site counts visits,
not people.
We measure how many people visit and which pages help them, without cookies and without building a profile of anyone. This page describes what the website does today; it is not a description of how jouleWise handles client data under an engagement, which is governed by the contract and by our ISO 27001 practices.
Today/ accurate as built
None. The site sets no cookies, and neither does its analytics. If you switch the colour theme, that one preference is kept in your browser; nothing identifies you.
Vercel Web Analytics, from our hosting provider, counts page views, visitors, referring sites, country, browser and device type. It sets no cookies: a visit is told apart by a short-lived hash of the request that is discarded within a day, so it cannot follow you across days or across other websites. We also count, without any personal detail, clicks that lead to the enquiry form and enquiries that were delivered (with the industry chosen, nothing else). Query strings are stripped before anything is sent. No tag manager, advertising pixel or other third-party analytics is loaded.
Vercel Speed Insights records how quickly pages load and respond on real visits (Core Web Vitals), together with the page path, device type and browser, so we can find slow pages. It identifies no one.
The enquiry form sends what you type to jouleWise by email, through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-to-email service that passes it to our sales inbox. This site stores none of it. If delivery is not set up or fails, the form says so and offers to open your own email client with what you typed, so nothing is ever silently lost.
Fonts and share images are served from this site rather than a CDN. The share buttons are plain links to each network’s own share page and load nothing from those networks until you press one. Links to those networks and to the downloadable decks leave this domain and are subject to their own terms.
The hosting provider keeps standard request logs, which may include IP address and user agent, for operating and securing the service.

We use what you send to answer you and to scope a possible engagement. Nothing else.
Contacting us is not consent to marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list on the strength of an enquiry.
Please do not send confidential bills or contracts at first contact. A summary is enough to scope a baseline, and it keeps your commercial data where it belongs.
Write to the same address and ask. We will delete the correspondence unless we are required to retain it.
